II. The purpose of this ordinance is to protect the health, safety and general welfare
of persons within public buildings and on property owned or operated by Pavilion Township
who are present as employees, voters, tax payers, residents, citizens, tradesmen,
senior citizens, youths, public officials or otherwise from intimidation, physical
injury or fear thereof caused by the display or potential display of firearms by other
persons.
